Waterfall Bowl

Hi, My name is Brian Flood, I live in Stevenage England which is about 30 miles north of London. I am a Motor Vehicle Technician and own a small garage and MOT station. I got into woodturning in 2016 when my two boys were old enough to look after themselves at the weekends and did not need me to run them around to football cadets and all the other activities they do. I purchased a cheap lath on Ebay that came with a few tools to get me started and joined my local woodturning club. In May 2018 I completed the AWGB certificate in woodturning course with Andrew Hall and while on the course I realised how bad my old lathe was and purchased a new one which greatly improved my turning. Since then I have done various day courses and watch as many demonstrations as I can to gain inspiration and ideas and of course learn new techniques, I am still finding my way round the world of woodturning and like to try all aspects such a colouring, staining, texturing etc but I do like to turn bowls and hollow forms and to try and enhance the natural features that are already in the wood. I really enjoy my woodturning it is totally different from my work as a mechanic and I can spend hours in my workshop just making shavings and exploring new ideas.
