Golfer's Bowl

Growing up, I was fascinated watching Dad turn knobby legs for furniture he made for my mother. Unfortunately, it never occurred to either of us that he could teach me to turn. The ShopSmith I inherited from him was my first lathe. I suppose I can say that I really started learning to turn after I moved to western Washington and joined Cascade Woodturners in 2005. Club "open shop" and the variety of excellent demonstrators and workshops we've had have been invaluable in developing my skills and commitment to turning. I am currently a member of three AAW chapters and served two terms for the AAW Board of Directors.
